Hi, I’m Clare. I work with families across Surrey and London to create natural family photographs, full of love and fun.
The one word my clients always come back to when they describe my style is “natural.” This always brings a smile to my face as it’s exactly what I aim for - there are no awkward poses or babies in buckets at my sessions.
As a mum I know how busy family life can be and so I do my best to keep the whole process of having a photoshoot as simple and easy for you as possible. I only work with a handful of families each month to ensure I can give them the best of what I do, and I work hard to make sure you feel prepared, have fun at your session, and have some beautiful ways enjoy your photographs afterwards.
I find that lots of the parents I work with are also running their own businesses, or setting up a new venture and I’ve been delighted to work with them to take their headshots or branding photographs. You can find my commercial work, some of which as appeared in 91 Magazine and Estila Magazine, here.
And finally, because you (probably!) can’t hire a professional photographer to be there for every special moment in your family’s life, I write tutorials on photographing your children over on my blog.
If you’ve got this far you probably want to know more about me. Most importantly I’m mum to the gorgeous girl you see in the photos above, and wife to my wonderful husband.
We live in East Molesey in Surrey, having done the ‘move out of South London when you have a baby’ thing that so many people do, and we love it here. At the weekend you’ll usually find us cycling along the river, chasing my daughter around the Magic Garden at Hampton Court or relaxing at home.
Photography has always been a passion of mine, but it hasn’t always been my career. Before starting my business I spent 14 years in the corporate world. But for a long time I longed to do something more creative, and when I was on maternity leave with my daughter I decided to take the plunge and turn my passion into my career.
It was important to me to make sure I could give the very best to my clients from day one, so as I prepared to start my business I invested in training with world-leading newborn and family photographers, studied portrait photography at Central St Martins, and assisted other professional photographers whenever I could. Those experiences were wonderful, and I smile everyday knowing that I get to do this for a living!
Aside from photography, my other passions are food and travel. I’m a real foodie and love to eat out and cook, and if I can do that in another country so much the better!
I’d love to get to know your family and capture some beautiful photographs for you. If you’re interested in booking a shoot with me, click here to get in touch.
